That&#8217;s terrible news since I have based a very large part of my internet experience on Google Reader: not only following blogs, but collecting links, catching up with general news, and even keeping up to date with academic journals. For some insight into why Google dumped the Reader read <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.reuters.com\/felix-salmon\/2013\/03\/14\/did-google-just-kill-rss\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. There is a good discussion of alternatives RSS platforms <a href=\"http:\/\/marginalrevolution.com\/marginalrevolution\/2013\/03\/rss-bleg.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
